The citrus zing elevates the whisky whilst the eggwhite gives body resulting in a much-loved whisky cocktail that doesn’t require the depth of winter to be enjoyed. It’s a perfect all-rounder.


60ml bourbon or rye whisky
20ml lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup
15ml eggwhite
Angostura bitters, to serve (optional)


Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake. Strain into a coupe, and garnish with 3 drops of Angostura bitters.
