This month’s line up of whiskies will have you tasting some incredible whiskies from around Australia. Each has their own unique flavour profile and will wow you from nose to finish.
Nant (TAS) Single Malt Sherry Wood Cask:
Sherry and dried stone fruits are noticeable on the nose, with an aroma of a cabinet full of nuts, spices and figs reminiscent of an older time. On the tongue, vintage books and tobacco soaked in sherry are present, along with hand-rolled cigarettes, citrus, toffee, and sweet vanilla. Impeccably smooth with a woody, nutty tobacco finish this is a very easy drinking whisky. 43% ABV
Starward (VIC) Twofold:
This gold medal winning whisky is made from malted barley and wheat, makes this double grain whisky smooth as silk. Aromas of bight red berries coated in buttery vanilla spice. On the palate, imagine a smooth, rich caramel dessert balanced by tropical fruit. A delicate and long, dry and faded sweetness on the finish. Easy-drinking when neat or on ice. Try a Two-Fold and tonic for an altered taste. 40% ABV.

Tiger Snake (WA) Rye of the Tiger
Part of the Great Southern Distilling Co. (Limeburners), this creamy and vanilla-forward rye whiskey is the ‘bourbon’ of Australia. The sour mash is crafted using a classic grain bill of corn, rye, malted barley, and occasionally the old hybrid grain “triticale”. All grains are sourced from within WA. Opens with a floral bouquet before a tasting hit with notes of vanilla-soaked hazelnut, caramel and a hint of zesty citrus rind. It is well textured with a smooth finish. An average age of 5 to 8 years. 43% ABV
